This Church was built in the enclosure where the small Church of Saint John the Baptist is situated to serve the needs of the Parish's Christian congregation which, year by year was increasing in numbers.

Building of the new Church started in 1953, during a period when the Church's financial situation was anything but flourishing. Thus, in search of funds, collections where started throughout Cyprus. The architectural  plans for the Church were taken up by the popular architect Panagiotis Stivaros from Limassol.

Saint Andrew's Church is three-aisled, crucifomed with a dome. Two rows of columns move crosswise towards the centre creating a series of apses,  on top of which is supported the vaulted ceiling, whilst the four central columns lift the large dome which effortlessly rises to heaven.

The temple is lighted by the many long and narrow windows, but also from the dome, which allows the light to pass through and give light to the Church.

In 2001-2002, the Saint Andrew's Church  was completely renovated after efforts by the Ecclesiastical Committee and was equipped with air-condition. Today it contributes one of  the best Churches of Limassol. The architectural  plans were made by the architect Roger Georgiou. The exterior as well the interior of our Parish church is without a doubt an adornment of the area, but also a spiritual centre for young and old, since in the compass of the temple, many spiritual events take place.

The Sanctuary is dominated by the apse painted with the Mother  of  God  Enthroned  and  below  the  row of Hierarchs, painted by the Iconographer Rev. Evangelos Giallouridi and his son Nearchos, a donation by pious Christians. In the nave of the Church exalted and imposing is situated the carved Pulpit, which is adorned with the Icons of Christ and the Four Evangelists and at the three entrances to the Temple are portrayed figures of Saints (of our Church) executed in mosaic. There is also maintained an office for the Parish Priest, where the faithful can find daily refuge and spiritual guidance.
