The Priest enters the house where the child has been born and vested with the epitrakhelion says:

Blessed is our God always, now and for ever: world without end. Amen.

O Holy God, Holy and Strong, Holy and Immortal, have mercy upon us. (3)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever, world without end. Amen.

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy upon us; O Lord, cleanse us from our sins; O Master, pardon our transgressions; O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy Name’s sake.

Kyrie eleison or Lord have mercy. [3]

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and for ever: world without end. Amen.

Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and for ever: world without end. Amen.

Blessed is our God always, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Let us pray unto the Lord.

O Master and Lord Almighty, thou who heals all manner of sickness and all manner of disease, do thou also heal this thy servant (…..) who has this day given birth and raise her up from the bed on which she lies: for according to the words of thy prophet David, in iniquities were we conceived and in defilement are we all before thee. Keep her safe and this child which she has borne; shelter her under the shelter of thy wings from this day to her last; by the prayers of the most pure Mother of God and of all the Saints, for blessed are thou unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Let us pray unto the Lord.

O Master and Lord our God, who was born of our most pure Lady Mother of God and ever-virgin Mary, and who as a infant was laid in a manger, and didst manifest thyself as a child, do thou also have mercy upon this thy servant (…..) who has this day given birth to this child and forgive her voluntary and involuntary offences, and preserve her from every tyrannical oppression of the devil.  Preserve also the child borne of her from every sorcery, from every difficulty, from every confusion of the enemy, from evil spirits of the day and night. Preserve this woman under thy mighty hand and grant her a speedy recovery, and cleanse her from the impurity and heal the pains, and grant her health and strength of both soul and body; and with joyful and bright Angels do thou care for her and guard her from every attack of invisible spirits. Yea, O Lord, from sickness and disease, from jealousy and envy, and from the evil eye, and have mercy upon her and the child according to thy great mercy: and cleanse her from her bodily defilement and her various oncoming internal problems, and through thy speedy compassion, lead her to the recovery of her humble body: and the infant borne of her do thou account worthy to venerate thy earthly Temple which thou hast prepared for the glorification of thy holy Name.

For unto Thee belong all glory, honour and worship, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Spirit, now and for ever: world without end. Amen.

Let us pray unto the Lord.

O Lord our God, who wast well pleased to come down from the Heavens, and to be born of the holy Mother of God and ever-virgin Mary for the salvation of us sinners, who knows the weakness of human nature: forgive thy servant (…..) who according to the multitude of thy compassions has this day given birth. For thou didst say, O Lord: “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it”. Therefore, we, thy servants, beseech thee, and taking courage in the forbearance of thy love for mankind, with fear cry to the holy Name of thy Kingdom. Look down from Heaven and behold the weakness of us who are condemned, and forgive thy servant (…..) and all the household where the child has been born and them that have touched her and all them that are here present, and grant forgiveness, for thou art a good God and lovest mankind: and thou alone hast the power to forgive sins, By the prayers of the holy Mother of God and of all the saints. Amen.

The Dismissal

Glory be to Thee, O our God, glory be to Thee.

May he who was born in a cave and laid in a manger for our salvation, Christ our true God, by the prayers of His most holy Mother: by the power of the precious and life-giving Cross; by the protection of the heavenly bodiless hosts; through the supplications of the glorious Prophet and Forerunner, John the Baptist; of the holy and all-glorious Apostles; of the holy, glorious and triumphant martyrs; of our holy God-bearing fathers; of the holy and righteous progenitors of God, Joachim and Anna; and of all the saints, have mercy upon us, and save our souls: For He is good and loving-kind.

By the prayers of our holy fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy upon us and save us. Amen.
