May I ask , when we were little , our dear priest used to bless our house every year , but this doesn't seem to happen anymore. Is it just not done anymore ?
Answer to Question 67.
This depends where you live. In Cyprus in villages we go round the village blessing all the homes on 6th January after the service of the Great Blessing of Waters. In towns this is not feasible anymore because of the many foreigners that now live in Cyprus and you need to inform your priest that you would like for him to pass by your home. I don't think they do this in England but you can also ring your priest and make an appointment with him to come and perform a blessing for your home and family anytime. |
