Pater, hi. What is the orthodox take on the Mary Magdalene scriptures that were found some years ago? The Catholics have now declared she was indeed one of Jesus disciples.
Answer to Question 462 The book known as the gospel of Mary is considered as an apocryphal writing and has never been accepted by the Church. The church has always recognized Mary Magdalene as one of the female followers of Christ and active in the spreading of the Gospel message. For this she is called by the Orthodox Church Equal to the Apostles
