Hello father My question is this, I noticed that women seem to be blessed a lot when they are doing the 40days blessing for baby, but dad don't get anything, the poor fellas Why is that?
Answer to Question 177
The 40 day blessing is not only for the baby, it is the 40 days purification of the mother and her acceptance again into the church giving her permission to be able to have Holy Communion. The father was not deprived of his right to have Holy Communion during the 40 days so the prayers and blessings are not directed at him.
